  • Stopped for lunch, I was after a tasty toasty and that's exactly what Hunters Cafe delivered. Delicious ham, cheese & onion toasty and lovely presentation. Great coffee, fluffy blueberry muffin and cozy fire on a cold blustery day. Recommended!

  • This has to be one of the most friendliest place. I just rocked up with no booking, lady was very welcoming. I have my cat with me and the lady came and gave her a pat when she dropped off fresh milk and cold water. Motels aren't modern but very clean. They come with a toilet, shower, tv, mini fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and kettle. The cost was $90, which is fantastic.

  • We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant while taking a break from our road trip. The menu not only offered some gluten free options, but they were also able to substitute the bread for my wife’s sandwich to be gluten free. The food was prepared well, plated beautifully and was delicious! The staff were friendly and the ambiance was clean and welcoming. Thank you!

  • We stopped in for lunch on our way home to Wellington. There was only one guy working and 6 of us. He cooked all the food and brought it out all together. My meal was the all day breakfast. They meal looked beautiful on the plate and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit down to the last crumb. Relaxing informal atmosphere, scrumptious food and excellent service. Thanks!

  • I stayed here for 5 nights in the single room. It was cozy and had everything you need. The room is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures. The electric blankets were amazing, heater was okay. The hot shower was great, microwave, kettle and fridge was all I needed for my little stay here. I’d suggest bringing your own basic cutlery’s if you’re staying long like me lol. It had an old style look to it but that’s what made it a cozy stay. It’s in a quiet area but can get noisy because it’s off the state highway 1. There’s a park/toilet directly across from the cafe side and Gas stations that close late on the main road side, trains are about 100m from the motel but you don’t hear too much of the trains when it’s passing through. The staff were kind & friendly, Robin was helpful when I booked for a room last minute. Unfortunately when I get back to the motel I miss out on the cafe but the menu and price looked good. Next time round I will definitely be trying it out and will stay here again. Thank you.

  • Lovely coffee, great service, I'm gf df so ordered hot chips and the man even made sure the chicken salt was ok for me to have on the chips. Which I thought was really thoughtful of him. It was so nice that he made the effort to check. I would definitely go back. My hubby has been there before and he said the same. Highly recommend

  • Stayed one night at the motel with a friend. The rooms are old and the decoration dated, but it was clean and tidy. The room had a double bed and a single bed and there are electric blankets on the bed. Clean towels were rolled up and placed at the end of each bed with a bar of soap. There was a TV, an electric kettle, a microwave and fridge, a heater and an upright fan. There is no cutlery or crockery other than 2 cups and saucers, but I imagine you could borrow some from the cafe if needed. What impressed me most was that although the cafe closes at 4pm, we were told the onsite manager/chef would open the cafe and cook us something from the menu up till 9pm !! We duly contacted him at about 7:45. We ordered by txt and he confirmed that the orders would be available in about 30-35mins. He delivered them to our room and had a portable EFTPOS to allow us to pay. Most impressed. We had the Fish Burger with chips, and the Southern Fried Chicken burger. Very happy with both meals. Plan on staying again on our next trip to the area.
